On April 20th 2006, Adelaide became the 166th city in the world to boast a brand new IKEA home furnishing store. IKEA Adelaide Store Manager, Mr. Edwin Van Der Graaf, said that new visitors to the Adelaide store will notice the Swedish influence immediately.

Protect Crete Technical Manager John Daymond worked with IKEA’s Construction company Hansen Yunken to ensure the 23,500 square metre complex had the world’s latest and best concrete floor technology. Protect Crete Densi-Proof™ was used at time of pour as industry best cure and seal and surface hardener. Luster Shield™ was applied as a surface seal against acid and chemical attack, providing slip resistance and glossy good looks. The Densi-Proof™ and Luster Shield™ System has ensured IKEA an easy-clean, long lasting, attractive floor that breathes and is easily repaired.

Luster Shield™ is a nomination for this years Most Innovative Product of the Year by the Flooring and PIC Floor Magazine.
