Terry Lucas thinks so. Protect Crete’s launch of
Moisture-Fix, through Flooring Magazine’s October edition, has been
enthusiastically taken up by installers and retailers in New Zealand and
Australia.
Stocks are being replenished already as more
installers embrace the new technology. Moisture-Fix has been
specially formulated with the flooring installer in mind, to easily
overcome expensive failures resulting from sub-floor moisture problems.
Moisture-Fix also allows flooring installation to take place on
new concrete after 14 days or less after concrete has been poured, thus
saving expensive time delays, waiting for concrete to dry out to the
required level. Moisture-Fix is ready to use, just pour and
spread, (no mixing) no special tools or mixing equipment, no messy clean
up required as with two part epoxy systems etc, virtually indefinite
shelf life saving on wastage giving flexibility to have on hand for
those unexpected moisture jobs in remote areas and out of business
hours, in most cases install floor coverings in 24 hours where other
systems require 48 and some times 72 hours, site access and walkable in
one hour, user friendly, non toxic, non flammable, zero VOC,
environmentally safe and odourless. Can be applied on old concrete, wet
surfaces and will withstand hydrostatic pressure. Unlike many other
topical membrane barriers that, if perforated, basically renders the
system ineffective. Moisture-Fix penetrates deep inside the
concrete matrix and allows dropping of tools, drilling, nailing and
surface damage to occur with out jeopardizing the moisture proofing
function in any way. Moisture-Fix is clearly innovative, designed
to give the installer peace of mind, convenience, and at the same time,
is safe to use and truly saves time and money.
